Our mission

To serve the Delaware River Valley community through organic garden stewardship and habitat restoration. We aim to reduce environmental harms and increase biodiversity, for the good health and well-being of all sentient beings in the watershed — one garden at a time.

Our history

Kate has been gardening and exploring nature since she was a child. Today she is continuing her studies in horticulture and landscape architecture, while establishing Willow Wing Farm, a regenerative fiber and flower farm. She has worked professionally in gardens and nurseries since 2009 and founded RiverGirl Gardens in 2019.

Meet the team

A small crew you can trust to show up, see both the details and the big picture, ask the right questions and get the job done.

What our clients say

From concept to design and completion, Kate and her crew at RiverGirl Gardens worked with us to make a number of alterations to our existing gardens that improved them enormously. She also created a pocket meadow along our driveway entrance that now is home to dozens of birds, beautiful butterflies, and other pollinators. Kate is a very knowledgeable professional and a tireless worker as well — a joy to work with and a genuine Bucks County treasure!

Kate is the kind of landscaper you hope for and rarely find. She knows every plant by name, not just what it’s called but where it wants to grow and how to help it thrive. She’s protected the plants we love most like they were her own, and somehow our yard always ends up a little more magical than we imagined.

She’s honest, she communicates clearly, and she works hard without ever cutting corners. What really sets her apart is how much she cares — about our pollinators, about the ecology of this place, about the vision we have for our own yard. She listens, and it shows.

Our garden feels alive in a way it didn’t before. Honestly, I think our plants light up a little when they see her pull up.
